The seventh edition of the European film festival "Ohrid Beach Festival" begins today.

Numerous contents from the field of the seventh art with film screenings, educational workshops and musical performances are foreseen by this year's seventh edition of the Festival of New European Film, which will be held in Ohrid starting today. From tonight until the 21st of this month, seven feature-length and 14 short films will be screened at four locations, on the beaches "Slavia" and "Saraishte", on the ship "Armada" and in the Youth Center in Ohrid. The opening of the festival is reserved for the screening of the film "Alive and Healthy", and the main program will show six more feature-length European films - "Rodeo", "The Coming Summer", "Fire", "Milk", "Some Birds" and "Pelican". The short film program also includes films from domestic production, those by the authors Ana Jakimska, Eleonora Veninova, Jane Spasic and Dimitar Banov. The musical program will be provided by the bands "Sioto Jazz" and "Harakiri", DJs Baila, DJ MarTian and the musical duo "Siz". The four-member international jury is responsible for selecting the best and awarding the "Big Wave" awards for best feature film and the "Stefan Sidovski - Sido" award for best acting achievement. The "Little Wave" award will be awarded to the best short film. This festival edition also includes films for the youngest visitors that will be shown on the city beach "Saraishte", every day from 17 to 21 July at 8 pm.
