Miguel Llansó

A big fan of experimental-punk-weird music and films, Miguel Llansó studied philosophy and cinema before leaving on his many adventures inspired by the life experiences of Jean Rouch or Werner Herzog. For him, filmmaking is friendship, risk, provocation, subversion and freedom. Miguel has filmed in Ethiopia, Estonia, Spain or Latvia. "Where is my dog?" and "Chigger Ale" - both made in collaboration with his friends Yohannes Feleke and Israel Seoane - were premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam and Locarno and screened at BAFICI, Tampere, Hamburg and more than 50 international film festivals. Crumbs (2015) - a post apocalyptic Afro-Futuristic adventure in Ethiopia - was Miguel's feature film debut, premiering at Rotterdam International Film festival and screened at Fantasia, Los Angeles Film Festival and more than 100 film festivals worldwide. Crumbs is represented by New Europe Film Sales and was released theatrically in the U.S. and Spain. Jesus Shows You the Way to the Highway (2019) - sci-fi political satire about globalization - is Miguel's second feature film, premiering at Fantasia and Neuchatel Fantastic Fest. The film is distributed by the Arrow Films. Infinite Summer (expected, 2024) is currently in post-production. The film is produced by Savage Rose (Everything everywhere all at once) and Tallifornia and it's a coming of age weird sci-fi summer adventure, starring Hannah Gross (Joker, Mindhunter).
